Shirl is the administrator of York Homes Program, she oversees all recruitment, marketing and training of staff, monitoring productivity and service utilization in coordination with the Clinical Team, as well as assuring that the program complies with Medical Assistance and Managed Care Organization regulations. Shirl has been with VBH since November of 2003, holding the position of Therapist and Therapist Coordinator at another VBH facility before her promotion to Administrator of York Homes in November of 2008.
Shirl received a BA in Social Work from Millersville University and her MSW in Clinical Social Work from Widener University. She has worked in the Human Service field for over 15 years, providing crisis social service needs as well as, outpatient and residential mental health services to adults, children and adolescents with a variety of mental health challenges, such as PTSD, complex trauma, bipolar disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder.
